Meet app in Teams has been replaced with a unified Events app

In March, Microsoft accidentally deployed an Outlook Mail app for Teams in specific tenants, then named Events app. From the naming, I expected the app would be a replacement for the Meet app, but it included a full-featured Outlook mailbox. It was clearly not an intended app deployment.

Microsoft recognized the mistake after some months and replaced the previous Meet app with the updated Events app, which aligns with the unified Teams Events experience, currently in rollout.

The Meet app is no longer available as a Teams app.

The previous, incorrectly named Outlook Mail app had the ID 260f432d-8a76-46c2-bf48-0f0748ac3eba, which is no longer available. I expect a correctly named Outlook Mail app for Teams in the future, maybe with the same ID.
