Microsoft is completely retiring the Outlook Lite app for Android on 25 May 2026.
New installations of Outlook Lite were already blocked on 6 October 2025. Microsoft mentioned existing installations will be affected a few months later, so only users who had the app installed before that date may still be using it.
From 25 May 2026, users who still have Outlook Lite installed will be able to open the app, but it will no longer connect to their mailbox.
- Email, calendar, and other in-app features will stop working.
- No accounts will be deleted or disabled as a result of this change.
- All existing emails, calendar items, and attachments will remain fully accessible to users who sign in to the Outlook Mobile app.
Users affected by this change should switch to Outlook Mobile for Android.
The transition does not require any account setup, as users can sign in with the same credentials they used in Outlook Lite.
