When Microsoft recently announced the new custom dictionary feature for meeting transcripts, they also referenced Copilot Recap and Intelligent Recap.
Business users often ask me about the differences between Intelligent Meeting Recap and Meeting Recap with Copilot, as Microsoft primarily promotes the Microsoft 365 Copilot license.
Microsoft describes both features in two support articles:
While Intelligent Meeting Recap and Copilot Meeting Recap are included as part of the Microsoft 365 Copilot license, Copilot Meeting Recap is not included with Teams Premium. It makes a difference from a licensing cost perspective. You can combine both licenses to access the full range of features (which is Microsoft’s preferred approach).
Intelligent recap is available as part of Teams Premium, an add-on license that provides additional features to make Teams meetings more personalized, intelligent, and secure. To get access to Teams Premium, contact your IT admin. Intelligent recap is also available as part of the Microsoft 365 Copilot license.

Please note, my comparison focuses primarily on Teams meetings and the recap feature. For a comprehensive comparison related to Teams Premium, refer to the official Teams Premium licensing documentation. Unfortunately, Microsoft does not provide similar tables for Microsoft 365 Copilot or the Meeting Recap feature.
