Microsoft is retiring the SharePoint Page Agent. The agent was introduced in November 2025 and is currently available as an early access experience in the Frontier program, allowing users to turn content from their Microsoft 365 Copilot conversations into draft SharePoint pages and news posts. The agent will no longer appear in Microsoft 365 Copilot, and users will no longer be able to create new pages or news posts with it.

The same kind of AI-assisted authoring is now built directly into Copilot in SharePoint, currently rolling out to general availability.
With Copilot in SharePoint, users can create and refine pages and news posts right inside the SharePoint editing experience, without switching back and forth between a Copilot conversation and a site. Anyone who starts pages from Copilot chats can simply begin in SharePoint instead and continue improving their content there.
- Copilot in SharePoint is available to users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license, the same requirement as for the previous Page Agent.
- Pages and news posts created through the SharePoint Page Agent remain in their SharePoint sites, and the same permissions and content lifecycle rules continue to apply.
- The retirement of the SharePoint Page Agent (Frontier) should be completed by November 2026. An AI admin can already disable the availability settings in Agent 365.
