Users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license can now open Outlook emails directly from within Copilot Chat. Previously, Copilot Chat opened the email in a new window in Outlook on the web.
When Copilot references an email as a source, users can open the email side by side with their Copilot conversation and read the full message without leaving Copilot or switching between separate windows. This enhancement should make it easier to follow up on referenced information and confirm details while staying focused on the current task. Users only see emails they already have access to. Users need to open the original message in Outlook to reply to or delete the email

The enhancement is available by default for Copilot Premium users and requires no configuration. The rollout should already be completed.
