Microsoft Teams now supports emojis in section names

Microsoft is adding support for emojis in section names in Teams. This update lets users personalise and visually organise their sections using emojis and icons.

The feature will roll out first for Teams on Desktop and Web.

Timeline

The rollout should be completed in November 2025.

Impact for your users

After the rollout, users can insert emojis directly into custom section names. Each section can also include a predefined emoji.
