In November 2025, Microsoft introduced the Surveys agent.
Surveys Agent is a smart assistant integrated with Microsoft 365 Copilot, that streamlines your survey workflow. It acts as a powerful partner to help you design and distribute surveys, track response status, and generate insights from collected feedback—across a variety of everyday work scenarios. Surveys Agent provides a structured, seamless process tailored to your survey objectives, enabling faster and more informed decision-making
Now, Microsoft has rebranded it as Forms agent.
The Forms agent has already been renamed, but some users may still see it named as Surveys agent.
With the rebranding, Microsoft is also adding Copilot Chat directly into the Microsoft Forms editing experience. This should help users who create or manage forms access AI assistance without leaving the tool they are already working in.
A new Copilot icon will appear within the Forms interface. Users can open a chat to get AI-generated suggestions for improving their form or quiz, adjust the clarity of individual questions, restructure the overall layout, and draft invitation messages to accompany the form. When a form has already collected responses, users can also ask Copilot to analyze the results and surface actionable insights.
The updated Forms agent is available to users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license using Microsoft Forms on the web. The rollout should be completed in May 2026.
