Microsoft reminds customers that InfoPath Forms Services in SharePoint Online and InfoPath Client 2013 will retire in July 2026. The retirement was announced in June 2023 and affects all Microsoft 365 tenants still hosting or using InfoPath-based forms in SharePoint Online.
SharePoint administrators should run the Microsoft 365 Assessment Tool to determine whether InfoPath forms are still in use across their SharePoint sites.
Timeline
Retirement begins on Tuesday, 14 July 2026, with no option to extend the service.
How does this affect your organization?
After retirement begins, InfoPath forms will no longer open, submit, or publish in SharePoint Online lists, libraries, or content types. InfoPath Client 2013 will also reach the end of extended support on 14 July 2026.

SharePoint administrators should run the Microsoft 365 Assessment Tool (InfoPath assessment) to identify where InfoPath is still used across the tenant, site collections, and websites. The tool helps to pinpoint lists, libraries, and content types that rely on InfoPath. Detailed guidance on preparing and running the tool is available.

The assessment provides either a CSV export or a Power BI report with detailed results.
For the CSV output, review the file classicinfopath.csv to identify site collections still containing InfoPath forms. Inform site owners so they can validate whether the forms are still required and migrate them to Microsoft Forms, Power Automate, or Power Apps before July 2026. Microsoft does not provide an automated migration tool.
