Microsoft is retiring the Speaker Coach feature in Teams. Speaker Coach in Teams was introduced in July 2022.
The feature, previously available in Preview, will be removed from all platforms.

Teams admins can disable Speaker Couch via a meeting policy, it’s the property AllowMeetingCoach.
AllowMeetingCoach
This setting will allow admins to allow users the option of turning on Meeting Coach during meetings, which provides users with private personalized feedback on their communication and inclusivity. If set to True, then users will see and be able to click the option for turning on Meeting Coach during calls. If set to False, then users will not have the option to turn on Meeting Coach during calls.

Timeline
The full retirement is expected by late August 2025.
Alternative solution
Users can use Speaker Coach in PowerPoint (formerly known as Presenter Coach in PowerPoint) to receive real-time, private feedback on their speaking skills. Speaker Coach in PowerPoint is available for all English-speaking markets and was introduced in September 2021.
To use Speaker Coach in PowerPoint:
- Open your PowerPoint presentation.
- Go to Slide Show > Rehearse with Coach.
- The coach gives on-screen guidance (in the lower-right corner of the window) about pacing, inclusive language, use of profanity, filler words, and whether you’re reading the slide text.
