Microsoft is rolling out file-level sensitivity labels for Loop components and collaborative meeting notes within Teams on Windows, Teams for Mac, the web, iOS, and Android.
This enhancement builds on existing sensitivity label support in the Loop app (web, iOS, Android) and across Outlook clients, bringing consistent protection for organizations using Microsoft Purview Information Protection.
Timeline
The rollout should be completed in May 2025.
Impact on your organization
The configuration of sensitivity labels in Microsoft Purview and labeling for Microsoft Loop is required to select these labels.
Before the rollout, users could label Loop files in OneDrive, SharePoint, Loop on the web, Loop Mobile, and Outlook. The labeling option was not available in Teams desktop clients, Teams on the web, or the Teams mobile app.

After the rollout, users can directly label such Loop components in the Teams apps.
For example, during my test on 19 April, the label option was not there in the Teams chat, but it is now available.

Same situation for collaborative meeting notes in Teams meetings.
Please note that the old Teams calendar does not include the label option in collaborative meeting notes. You have to use the new Teams calendar.

- Sensitivity labels for Loop components are available in Teams on the web.
- Sensitivity labels for Loop components are not yet available in Teams Mobile, but should be available after an upcoming update. The label is not included in the message, even if you labeled the component through Loop on the web or the Teams desktop app.
