Since January 2024, users can share contact information in Teams 1:1 chats and group chats.
This feature is now also available in Teams channel conversations.
Like in chats users can share contact information directly in Teams channels, making it easier for team members to connect with one another.

How will this update affect users?
With this update, users can effortlessly access contact information for their colleagues in Teams channels.
- In a channel conversation (or Teams 1:1 chat, group chat), mention the contacts with @mention and share the contact info. You can share the contacts from one or more users, but only from users within your organization.
- Other users can view a contact’s details in the Profile Card by hovering over them, streamlining communication and collaboration.
