Offer for Microsoft 365 Developer Technology Adoption Program (TAP)

During my license evaluation at the beginning of November, I noticed a new license “Developer Technology Adoption Program – Offer”. The product ID is CFQ7TTC0NMB6.

Microsoft described the Developer Technology Adoption Program and the requirements in an article in June 2023. There is also an official website.
The Developer Technology Adoption Program is a closed, invite-only program with NDA. Qualified members can receive various benefits:

  • Monthly call under NDA with deep dive on 2-3 topics from Microsoft 365 product groups
  • Access to private Microsoft Teams channel for sharing feature requests, feedback, or questions
  • Opportunities to participate in incubations and private previews
  • Surveys and questionnaires directly from Microsoft 365 product groups

In my opinion, the offer is somewhat peculiar. The offer may have been published by mistake. I found the offer in a newly created tenant, and the offer is still available. Existing, old tenants do not include the offer. If I follow the requirements, I am theoretically not qualified for the program as a private individual.

ISV (independent software vendor) partners building multi-tenant solutions that integrate with Microsoft 365 are welcome to join the Microsoft 365 Developer TAP.

If I select the offer, the system wants to complete the order immediately. I have to actively cancel the order. It is a strange situation for an invite-only program.
I don’t want to sign an NDA for my blog, so I canceled the order. I cannot judge whether the order would be successful in the end. It is also possible that Microsoft will ask for the qualifications after the order has been placed. The article from June 2023 contains a Forms form.
