I recently searched for SharePoint Premium documentation, but found none. Microsoft unpublished or renamed it, and some are now restricted to internal Microsoft accounts. It seems Microsoft quietly retired the SharePoint Premium product name. I expect SharePoint Premium is now part of Copilot in SharePoint, as autofill columns, previously a SharePoint Premium feature, moved there.
In November 2023, Jeff Teper introduced SharePoint Premium as “the future of AI powered content management and experiences”. Worth remembering the next time Microsoft pitches AI. The future of AI can last less than three years. You see the same pattern with Microsoft Viva: another dead product name waiting to be buried. Just that Viva includes some licenses to sell.

Autofill columns was also part of Microsoft Syntex (which Microsoft never renamed to SharePoint Premium).
Notably, the Microsoft Syntex service description is still online, as Syntex includes other usage-based billing features. However, autofill columns is no longer listed. Autofill columns is now part of the usage-based SharePoint Advanced features, but it is still listed as a Microsoft Syntex feature in the Microsoft 365 admin center (so don’t be confused).

It’s easy to guess what comes next. I expect the remaining Syntex features to move to Copilot in SharePoint as usage-based advanced features.
