Microsoft has published a new promotional offer for customers with the Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps standalone license (Product ID CFQ7TTC0LHRR), possibly a sign that Microsoft plans to retire this license in the near future.
Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps is a comprehensive SaaS security solution that enables organizations to prevent and protect against advanced threats rising from the use of SaaS apps. It enables organizations to discover applications in their environment, strengthen app security posture, govern app-to-app behaviors, defend against advanced threats employing SaaS apps as attack technique, and secure use of generative AI apps.
The Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps standalone license includes the following service plans:

This promotional offer is currently scheduled between 1 July and 31 December 2026.
Based on the offer, organizations can order up to 10 million licenses. Billing admins only need to update the checkout quantity as needed.
