Microsoft will retire the Send to Kindle integration in Word. Send to Kindle lets users upload and convert Word documents directly to their Kindle library.
The feature was introduced in February 2023. Admins could disable the feature via a Cloud Policy.

Timeline
The retirement starts on 9 February 2026 and should be completed in March 2026.
Impact for your users
After the retirement, Send to Kindle will no longer appear in Word for Windows, Word for Mac, or Word for the web. Previously sent documents are not affected. The feature was never available in mobile apps.

Users can continue sending Word documents to Kindle using Amazon’s native service at amazon.com/sendtokindle.
The Send to Kindle service allows you to send documents to your Kindle library on Kindle devices and apps at no additional cost. You can upload documents via the web, an authorized email address, the Kindle app for iOS and Android, or a Send to Kindle application if available. All documents sent through Send to Kindle are protected with end-to-end encryption.
