OneDrive in Teams
Part of the reinvention of OneDrive is a new approach to working with files in Teams. Coming this December we’re updating the Files app in Teams with our new OneDrive Teams app, providing clean access to all your files across SharePoint and OneDrive from Teams. It takes advantage of all the recent updates made to OneDrive and SharePoint library experiences bringing you the benefits of performance improvements, new views, and feature enhancements in OneDrive.
- Files app in the new Teams will be changed in the coming weeks.
- Teams Classic and Teams Mobile will not receive the new OneDrive app and will continue to use the Files app.
In the new Teams the Files app shows the icon for OneDrive. OneDrive in Teams includes familiar features from OneDrive on the web, and will receive updates from OneDrive on the web at the same time in future.
The integration for 3rd party storage services has been removed with OneDrive in Teams.
