Microsoft is rolling out two new pre-designed, multi-color dark themes for modern SharePoint sites: Dark Teal and Dark Blue.
These themes introduce modern dark color palettes with multi-color combinations, enabling richer visual experiences and more consistent branding across modern SharePoint sites.
This update does not change existing settings that hide pre-designed Microsoft themes. If a SharePoint administrator has disabled the use of pre-designed Microsoft themes, the configuration remains in effect. In this case, site owners will not find the new dark themes.
Timeline
The rollout should be completed in February 2026.
How does this affect your users?
Site owners can find the two new themes under Site settings > Change the look > Theme.

The new themes are at the end of the theme list: Dark Teal and Dark Blue.

The selected theme updates headers, footers, section designs, the Text web part, and Design Ideas. The main difference between the two themes is the color used for buttons and hyperlinks.

The new themes do not affect existing custom or default themes, do not change overall site functionality, and remain unavailable if SharePoint administrators have disabled pre-designed Microsoft themes.
