Commercial customers can now order all Windows 365 promotional license SKUs

Back in May, I posted about Microsoft’s time-limited Windows 365 Promotion.

  • Offer: 20% discount on one of the following editions worldwide: Windows 365 Business, Windows 365 Enterprise, Windows 365 Frontline, or Windows 365 Government.
  • Promotion runs from May 1, 2025, to October 31, 2025, and applies only to customers not currently subscribed to Windows 365.

The problem with the promotion was that customers buying directly from Microsoft couldn’t see the full set of promotional Windows 365 SKUs. Instead, the ordering system displayed just one random SKU out of 13, changing with each page refresh. It appeared the SKU list was never intended to support that many entries.

For customers ordering through a Microsoft Partner, the tenant was also affected. They simply didn’t register the issue.

In May, I assumed Microsoft would soon resolve this. I opened a support case when the problem was still present in July.

Unlike many other cases, this one was a short case. Microsoft recognized the unusual behavior after a brief review.
Yesterday, I was informed the issue has been fixed. Testing confirms that customers can now select from all promotional SKUs, not just one. The fix applies to Windows 365 Enterprise, Windows 365 Business, and Windows 365 Frontline editions.
