“Shared with us” on SharePoint team sites will be retired

Microsoft announced the retirement of the “Shared with us” feature on SharePoint team sites.
“Shared with us” provided a centralized view of files and folders shared with site members. The retirement will impact all users of SharePoint team sites. “Shared with us” is not available for SharePoint Communication sites.

Recommended alternatives

While the “Shared with us” feature will not be directly replaced, users can effectively manage shared content using existing tools in OneDrive or by email notifications.

  • “Shared with me” in OneDrive
    Users can view files and folders that have been shared with them in OneDrive > Shared for a personalized view of shared content.
