Organizations can encrypt files in SharePoint and OneDrive with Sensitivity Labels.
If someone opened encrypted PDF files with OneDrive Mobile, the OneDrive app informed them that it could not open the file.

In OneDrive on the web it is the same case.
OneDrive Mobile and OneDrive on the web will support this type of PDF files in the next few weeks.
- OneDrive Mobile should support encrypted PDF files by the end of October.
- OneDrive on the web should follow by November.
OneDrive Mobile no longer shows the old message, it opens the PDF file and informs that the file is protected with Purview Information Protection. The OneDrive app opens the file in a read-only mode.
