Last week Teams channels were still available, today various channels are hidden.
Since July, Teams has started to automatically hide inactive Teams channels in Teams for Windows, Mac and Teams on the web. The global rollout is planned for September.
Employees are informed about hidden channels in Teams with a message. They can use the message to unhide the channels that were hidden at that time.
Teams will hide channels that have been inactive and notify the user with the message, “We’re hiding some inactive channels for you.” The user can select View changes to see the details.
You can then show hidden channels again via the new channel page.
Alternatively, anyone can disable the process in the Teams client. A new section for hiding inactive channels has been added to the Teams client settings. The option is active by default.
