Previously, Emojis, GIFs, and Stickers were three options in Teams.
Announced in September 2023, Microsoft is replacing the three options with a new picker for all “fun elements.” If an organization has deactivated “Fun elements,” it will be excluded from the new selection.
Users can find emojis, GIFs, and stickers combined in one menu under the smiley face icon. All the fun content will remain as normal for users to add in their messages.
The updated text editor must be active in Teams for the new picker to be available. It will not be available in Teams Classic.
