Microsoft 365 license changes – October 2023

On October 1 Microsoft added the new licenses without Teams announced in August. Other licenses have also been changed or removed over the last 30 days. A summary.


New licenses

The following licenses were newly added on October 1.

Licenses without Teams

The licenses without Teams for organizations in the European Economic Area (EEA), announced in August, were added. Enterprise licenses with Teams should no longer be available for new orders. As of October 1, the Enterprise licenses with Teams are still available.

  • Microsoft 365 F3 EEA (no Teams)

  • Microsoft 365 Business Standard EEA (no Teams)
  • Microsoft 365 Business Premium EEA (no Teams)
  • Microsoft 365 E3 EEA (no Teams)
  • Microsoft 365 E3 EEA (no Teams) – Unattended License
  • Microsoft 365 E5 EEA (no Teams)
  • Microsoft 365 E5 EEA (no Teams) without Audio Conferencing
  • Office 365 E1 EEA (no Teams)
  • Office 365 E3 EEA (no Teams)
  • Office 365 E5 EEA (no Teams)
  • Office 365 E5 EEA (no Teams) without Audio Conferencing
Microsoft Teams EEA

The additional Teams license for products with the addition “(no Teams)”, only available for organizations in the European Economic Area.

Modified licenses

The following licenses have been changed by name over the last 30 days.

Microsoft Entra Workload ID Premium

It’s not a new license; the license has been renamed.

This per-workload identity licensed offer enables customers to detect and respond to compromised workload identities and helps simplify lifecycle management.

License Add-on for organizations with Entra Permissions Management, free for the first year. It’s not a new license; the license has been renamed.

Licenses no longer available

The following licenses have been removed over the last 30 days and will expire at the end of the current term.

Enterprise licenses with Teams

As of October 2, the following licenses are no longer available for organizations in the European Economic Area:

  • Microsoft 365 E3
  • Microsoft 365 E3 – Unattended License
  • Microsoft 365 E5
  • Microsoft 365 E5 without Audio Conferencing
  • Office 365 E1
  • Office 365 E3
  • Office 365 E5
  • Office 365 E5 without Audio Conferencing
Power Apps per app plan

Alternatively available is “Power Apps per app plan (1 app or website)”.

Dynamics 365 Customer Voice

The following sublicenses were also discontinued with Dynamics 365 Customer Voice:

  • Dynamics 365 Customer Voice
  • Dynamics 365 Customer Voice USL
  • Dynamics 365 Customer Voice Additional Responses (Product ID CFQ7TTC0LHVQ)
  • Dynamics 365 Customer Voice Additional Responses (Product ID CFQ7TTC0HKJ6)
