In May and September 2024, Microsoft introduced a new SharePoint Start experience, which is still in Public Preview. From the new start experience, users can create personal pages stored in their OneDrive.

Microsoft will retire the ability for users to create personal pages from the new SharePoint Start (Preview) experience.
In May 2024, Microsoft announced the new SharePoint start (Preview) experience. This update introduces a user-friendly approach that simplifies the process of creating sites and pages. However, due to feedback regarding content policy concerns related to personal pages, Microsoft will retire the ability for SharePoint users to create personal pages from SharePoint start (Preview).
Timeline
The retirement of personal page creation will occur between mid-March and April 2025.
All other features on SharePoint Start (Preview) will remain functional after the retirement of personal page creation.
Impact on SharePoint users
Users can still use their existing pages but cannot create new personal pages after retirement.
After retirement, users are encouraged to create pages connected to SharePoint sites from SharePoint Start (Preview). SharePoint Start will include a new option to create pages on SharePoint sites instead of a personal page.

- SharePoint administrators can copy or move existing personal pages to SharePoint sites with Copy-SPOPersonalSitePage.
- Users are unable to convert personal pages to pages connected to SharePoint sites through the user interface.
