Unter Windows gibt es bekanntlich zwei OneNote Apps:
- OneNote Desktop App (2016er Version, in der Office Suite inkludiert)
- OneNote für Windows 10 (über den Microsoft Store als UWP App)
Vor nicht so langer Zeit (im April 2018) hatte Microsoft das Ende für die OneNote Desktop App per Oktober 2020 verkündet. Die Zukunft sollte OneNote für Windows 10 sein.
Im November 2019 wurde die Ankündigung zum Ende der OneNote Desktop App zurückgezogen und der Supportzeitraum bis 2025 verlängert.
Heute gab es die Info OneNote für Windows 10 wird über die nächsten 12 Monate mit einer neuen OneNote Desktop App vereint, die Desktop App redesigned und mit Features aus der Windows 10 App ergänzt.
Die aktuelle UWP App OneNote für Windows 10 wird danach praktisch ausgemustert. Es wird empfohlen für Neuinstallationen OneNote für Windows 10 nicht mehr einzusetzen. Wer OneNote für Windows 10 heute bereits einsetzt kann dies weiter so handhaben. Zum gegebenen Zeitpunkt wird es im Programm eine Info geben umzusteigen.
Bei Interesse hat Microsoft zwei Mock-ups zur neuen OneNote Desktop App veröffentlicht und inkludiert Tipps und FAQs zur Umstellung:
- If you currently use the OneNote app, there is no action to take as you are on the fastest path to new features.
- If you currently use OneNote for Windows 10, there is no action to take today as the OneNote team is working to build features that will help you move over to the OneNote app more easily in the future. Until we have completed that work, you can continue to use OneNote for Windows 10.
- If you plan on newly deploying OneNote to your organization, we recommend deploying the OneNote app.
